Welcome to Abled Acres

Imagine a place where spinal cord injury (SCI) survivors and the wider community come together to nurture hope, creativity, and sustainable agriculture. At Abled Acres, every bed is raised for accessibility, every tool is adapted for independence, and every person is invited to be part of something greater than a typical farm. Our land becomes a catalyst for growth, healing, and shared purpose—proving that when we remove barriers, new possibilities bloom.
Able Acres is built on the philosophy that inclusion is not just good ethics—it’s good business.

Our Workshops

Our workshops range from adaptive art therapy sessions to hands-on farming lessons, each designed to offer practical skills and creative expression. SCI survivors and community members alike can explore topics such as seed starting, sustainable growing techniques, painting, ceramics, and more—all in a fully accessible environment. Whether you’re looking to deepen your knowledge of inclusive agriculture or simply tap into your creativity, our workshops provide a safe and supportive space to learn, heal, and grow together.

Holistic Healing & Peer Mentorship

At Abled Acres, we believe that true growth goes beyond the physical. Our holistic healing and mental health therapy programs integrate mindfulness exercises, horticultural therapy, and guided support circles to foster emotional well-being. Participants can find balance and empowerment through nature-based activities, art therapy, and peer-to-peer connections. By nurturing both body and mind, we cultivate a healing environment where resilience thrives and hope takes root.

Subscribers receive a weekly or bi-weekly share of seasonal fruits, vegetables, and herbs, alongside recipe ideas and farm updates. Every purchase directly supports our mission—funding adaptive equipment, educational initiatives, and ongoing improvements that keep Abled Acres a welcoming place for everyone. It’s a simple, delicious way to invest in inclusive, community-driven agriculture.

“Abled Acres is a one-of-a-kind farm that brings together people with spinal cord injuries (SCI) and physical disabilities to show what’s possible.

We’re building a place where folks can reconnect with purpose through adaptive farming, learn new skills, and just enjoy life. Whether it’s growing fresh produce, learning hands-on workshops, or joining a weekend retreat to recharge, Able Acres is about independence, community, and growth.

The best part? It’s not just about doing good—it’s about building a sustainable business, too. At Able Acres, we’re proving that purpose and profit can grow side by side.”
